Dry Falls then and Now  During the Summer of 2002 at the conclusion of construction of the Whitman College new Science Center, my painting Dry Falls Then and Now was purchased to hang in the Science Center's new atrium. This links takes you to a copy of that two picture sent.

Dry Falls then and Now  Article in the Union Bulleting about the painting now hanging in the Whitman Science Center

In the News  On May 1, 2001 the Walla Walla Union Bulletin published an article about  receiving  signature status in the prestigious Northwest Pastel Society.

Bryce Canyon Series  In September of 2002 I traveled to Bryce Canyon UT.  These images are the beginning of a series I am doing on the Bryce, Red Canyon and Zion formations.

Celilo Falls Columbia River  Up until the 1950's, the native Americans of the Pacific Northwest have fished along the Columbia River using spears or nets to catch the fish as they jumped up stream.  This series is of those native Americans at Celilo Falls, now under water behind the Dalles Dam.

California Series   Paintings done from Southern California and the California Coast.

Oregon Series  In Southeastern Oregon there is an off the road place where many painting opportunities abound. This series is in progress.

Arches and Canyonlands Series  Series in progress

Honfleur, France
"la lieutenance"

Pastel

$325.00

The harbor of Honfleur is located just to the south of Le Havre, France, on the north shore of the Seine.  This boat house is a prominent feature of the harbor and was built around 1300. It was from this small harbor that the famed French explorers began their journeys to the new world.

Washerwoman Canyonlands

$600.00

In Canyonlands at Mesa Arch you have a view of this rock formation as you look east.

Steptoe Butte
Pastel on Wallis paper
22" X 16"

$450.00

Just south of Spokane, Washington is a tall, extinct volcanic cone called Steptoe Butte.  Today this hill is used as a radio and TV tower base.  Visitors can drive to the top and enjoy the vista.  The image I have painted is a view southeast toward Lewiston, Idaho.

Vetheuil, France
Pastel on Wallis paper
22" X 16"

$600.00

Between Paris and Rouen, France is the small  village of Vetheuil (Eng. Vitoy). It was in this village that Camile Monet died and was buried in the cemetery of the church pictured here.  During the following year Claude Monet painted this church, the surrounding hills and the Seine many times.  One of his favorite paintings shows this church painted from this same spot.
